eLearning
These eLearning modules were completed as part of a contract that the company I work for (METCOR/LSI) holds with AmeriCorps VISTA. METCOR/LSI is the project lead on this contract holding more than 50% of the contract. I completed this work during the 2022-2023 fiscal year with a team of 6 individuals from my own company, 6 individuals from another company, and 2 individuals from the client organization (AmeriCorps VISTA). Out of that larger team, I led the “Core Design Team” which consisted of myself, the 2 representatives of the client’s organization, and 1 individual from another contracting organization (Education NorthWest). The client, AmeriCorps VISTA, was responsible for the initial analysis and design plan. I was the lead ISD on this module, responsible for creating and delivering the content outline, storyboard, and developing the wireframe in Articulate 360 Storyline as well as implementing feedback through multiple cycles of internal and external review. I collaborated with an eLearning Specialist on my internal team to implement client feedback, voice-over, and 508 compliance into the final iteration of the module which underwent multiple cycles of client review and feedback implementation. The success of this module and others, as well as the strong client relationship cultivated by myself and the other 5 individuals on my internal team, led to the resigning of this contract with our client, AmeriCorps VISTA, for another year with option to renew.
This course was not a “re-work” of an existing course, however the content was elaborated from existing materials on the VISTA campus and many weekly meetings within the core design team. This course specifically was completed at the end of our fiscal year for this contract (in June of 2023) and was completed under a very tight time crunch, however it met the needs of the client and received positive feedback. This course is meant as an overview of the lifecycle of a VISTA project designed for the audience of VISTA project sponsors to be completed during the first 6 months of their project agreement. Some of the graphics in this course I created using CANVA and implemented them into the storyline authoring tool. The audio used is sourced from Wellsaidlabs.
This course was a re-work of existing course material. After conversation with their client, their main concerns were that the previous Terms and Conditions course that was housed on the VISTA campus had an outdated design, no clear learning objective or evaluation, and was, overall, not as interactive as they wanted. I completely reworked the content to maintain all legal requirements and presented it in a much more interactive way with a clear learning objective and evaluation question. This module was difficult to complete, especially with all of the legal requirements required to be presented to members, but the final product is one I am proud of. This is the second course to be completed by all AmeriCorps VISTA members as they complete their onboarding process, therefore the number of end users will be in the thousands.
This course was a completely new course with no existing content to build from. The intended audience for this course is AmeriCorps VISTA leaders who are members who have served in the past and have returned in a leadership position to assist in the onboarding and orientation of new VISTA members. Some subject matter expertise came from collaboration with one of the client representatives who served as a VISTA leader in the past. Through collaboration with the client, we created the content that I then elaborated into this module. The audio used was sourced from Wellsaidlabs.
This course was a completely new course with no existing content to build from. This course is the first course that all new AmeriCorps VISTA members take as part of their onboarding process, meaning the number of end-users will be in the thousands. The client requested a welcoming feel which was achieved through the use of multimedia and design. This course specifically required some extra graphic design work as we needed to edit and retouch existing video footage to incorporate the client’s new branding and logo. This offer was outside of our contractual scope of work but we happily completed the extra work to be able to include welcoming multimedia.
